Christmas Holidays!

Dear Olive,
Tomorrow, we make our annual pilgrimage up the highway to spend Christmas with my family at my Dads. It's not going to be fun, but really, it's not about the journey, it's about the destination ... no, wait ... um, in any case, spare a thought for us as we battle frightful holiday traffic whilst trying to stay sane over the whinging coming from a 4 year old who wants to get out of the car, in addition to the whinging coming from a cat who wants to get out of the cage. That's right, we're throwing Pepper in for good measure. We'll have a bit over a week at my Dads, and then head to a friends place for a few days over new years, and then we'll head home. Home to think about enjoying the rest of summer, and make plans for a new year in which our little family of three will become four. There's so much to look forward to.
Merry Christmas to all, thanks for reading.
(Photos: while Shane and I clean one room, this happens. And just as messy, but far more delicious, a lovely, easy dinner picnic with some local friends this fine evening.)

We are heading of in the car on Christmas morning with two 2 year olds and a 5 year old, so I feel your pain. Some Christmas songs, car bingo and perhaps a few new toys from Santa should get us through... they may even have a nap if we're lucky.

Have a wonderful Christmas, I look forward to seeing some more beautiful photos in the new year.
